Tomball ISD will be welcoming back students on September 8 for the 2020-21 school year. Families were given the opportunity to choose between virtual and face-to-face instruction. Teachers are facing numerous new hurdles and learning curves during this transition.
In support of TISD teachers and staff, an “adopt a teacher” Facebook group was formed for the community to help make this year successful. More than 2,000 community members have joined the group and are offering support. Community members can provide encouraging words, supplies or just a small token to make a teacher’s day a bit brighter.
As not every staff member has Facebook, the group is collaborating with PTOs on campus in order to fulfill needs. Community members and staff are encouraged to join the group .
