Tomball Seeks To Update Matheson Park

Jerry Matheson Park in Tomball is in the early stages following a grant application to update the play equipment. The proposed updates include an addition of a splash pad, a zip line, a walking trail and four lighted pickleball courts.

The city is seeking a $750,000 grant from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and hopes to match that amount in order to make the needed improvements. Council members recently authorized the Tomball Economic Development Corp. to match $300,000 pending grant approval. In addition, the city hopes to partner with other entities and community groups for additional funds.

Broussard Park in Tomball recently received needed updates and the city is optimistic that the community can enjoy similar updates to Matheson Park.
