For the Tomball ISD employees living in the Woodtrace Community, the Early Excellence Academy is now open!
Tomball ISD’s Early Excellence Academy is a “childcare center for full-time Tomball ISD employees’ children and grandchildren.” The Early Excellence Academy welcomes two-year-olds who have been actively potty training, three or four-year-olds already potty trained, and five-year-olds who “are not eligible for Kindergarten” yet.
This is an amazing accomplishment because it shows how much Tomball ISD cares about those working to keep the district at an A-grade TEA rating. Parents and Grandparents working for the district will not have to stress about looking for someone they trust to watch their child or worry if a sitter cancels last minute. Employees in the Tomball district will be able to go to work at the schools without having to think about the safety of their children or whether or not they are in great hands. This academy will be able to provide “high quality childcare”. What’s even more comforting is that the caregivers are Tomball employees as well, which means that this program allows for Tomball ISD employees to look after each other. The goal of this academy is to prepare the children for Kindergarten by ensuring they receive a strong literary foundation.
The Tomball ISD Early Excellence Academy is on Tomball High School grounds in an unattached building. This location is especially convenient for employees at Tomball High School, Tomball Junior High School, Tomball Intermediate School, and Tomball Star Academy. This childcare center will be about 15 minutes away for employees at all other Tomball ISD schools.
