Tomball ISD’s 2020-21 fiscal budget of $157.7 million was unanimously approved by the board of trustees on June 9. The budget is a $12 million dollar budget increase over previous years expenditures.
The budget will provide for a 2% general pay increase for TISD staff, while funding staffing costs anticipated with the opening of Grand Oaks Elementary School, an agricultural science project center at Tomball High School and an aquatic center at Tomball Memorial High School.
With this approved budget, there is no planned increase in the district's property tax rate of $1.29 per $100 valuation. Despite the unchanging tax rate, homeowners may see an increase due to the increased home values of residences in TISD.
