Tomball ISD has released their district plans for reopening the schools for the 2020-21 school year. Families will opt in for either on campus instruction or remote learning by July 24. Students will have the option of switching instruction model at the end of the first 9 weeks as requested.
The district is ensuring that they provide a safe and productive learning environment. Regardless of the model, students will be receiving high-quality instruction.
TISD’s on campus learning will require face covering at school and on transportation. Increased social distancing and cleaning measures will be taken on all campuses. A learning management system is in place should the district have to transition to learning at home.
TISD’s virtual learning will be very different from what students saw for spring learning. On-line learning will consist of both self-paced learning and real-time learning. Attendance will be taken with the virtual model concept and students will be expected to follow a normal educational day. Not all classes will be offered for virtual learning, but the class list will be finalized very soon.
District plans can continue to change with changing. circumstances. Continue to visit the district website for updates.
