Tomball High School students now have the opportunity to learn from the experts in the energy sector! The Tomball ISD Academy of Energy and International Business will be opening “in August 2020 at BJ Services corporate headquarters.” BJ Services provides “hydraulic fracturing and cementing services to upstream oil and gas companies” that operate throughout North America.
Students who are selected to be a part of this Academy will complete their coursework in the facilities provided at BJ Services in Tomball. The two programs offered in this Academy are Energy and International Business. Through this partnership, students will be exposed to the business environment of the oil and gas industry to learn the skills required to succeed. “The Academy will integrate core academic curriculum with the career pathway and students will have the opportunity to take career courses in a coherent sequence that fosters skill development and leads to industry-recognized certifications.”
The Woodtrace community’s students attend Tomball ISD schools which have had a fantastic year. The district’s dedication to their students’ growth has helped in the development of phenomenal programs and partnerships like this one.
