From academics to cross-country to theater and winning baseball state titles, Rosehill Christian junior Jacob Filip is regularly on the go. Filip is preparing to run the Chevron Houston Marathon for a fourth time on Jan. 14. By the time Filip entered high school, he was already an experienced runner. His first time around, Filip remembers being the youngest one there. Filip has already completed the Houston Marathon during his eighth, ninth and tenth grade years. In his first attempt, he finished just past the four-hour mark, at 4:12. In his third try, he finished at 4:19. Filip doesn't plan to stop running any time soon, even after he graduates. According to his coach, Filip is a great example of what an education at a small Christian school can do for a student.
