Construction of Hwy, 249 continues as The Texas Department of Transportation extends a segment from south of FM 149 in Pinehurst to FM 1488 in Magnolia. The Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce Mobility and Transportation Committee expects for the construction plans on Hwy. 249 tolled extension to be complete mid-July. The extension includes two tolled lanes in each direction. The project will be ongoing with two more segments scheduled to connect from FM 1488 all the way to Hwy. 105.
