Woodtrace residents have enjoyed the convenience following the recent completion of the Tomball Tollway connection to the brand new Woodtrace exit. Residents have benefitted from reduced commute time for work, entertainment and essentials.
The newest tolled segment of Hwy. 249 from FM 1774 in Pinehurst to FM 1488 in Magnolia was scheduled to open on August 8. This 6.4 mile stretch includes intermittent frontage roads and does not plan on collecting tolls until later in the fall.
Construction continues on the segment of Hwy 249 stretching from FM 1488 to FM 1774 in Todd Mission. The 25.5 mile project costing an estimated $798.6 million dollars will go from FM 1774 in Pinehurst to Hwy. 105 in Navasota.
According to Community Impact, “the Hwy. 249 project is expected to improve safety and mobility by linking suburban communities with major roadways and enhancing the area's access to regional destinations.”
