Construction alert! Construction will begin on the interchange at the Tomball Tollway and Grand Parkway. The $92 million project will relieve congestion during peak travel times at the current intersection of TX 240 and Hwy. 99.
According to Community Impact, the project will consist of building concrete connectors from northbound TX 249 to eastbound and westbound Hwy. 99 to southbound TX 249. The use of concrete girders, which is not as typical in our area, will result in lower maintenance than the use of steel.
The interchange is projected to be complete the summer of 2022. Travelers look forward to reduced travel time without the stop lights and traffic.
