If anyone has ever wondered what it was like to care for students, teachers, and staff at the same time for more than 8-hours a day, sign up to be a Tomball ISD Principal on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 from 8 a.m. – 11 a.m.!
Tomball ISD would like to invite members of the Woodtrace community to take part in applying for this fun and eye-opening opportunity. This is a great way to get involved with the school district to be aware of any news, issues, or voice ideas to help improve student-life. Community members who are chosen through an extensive application process will get a first-hand look at the “strengths and challenges of schools within the district.” Many responsibilities of this guest Principal or Principal Partner will be to spend time with the faculty and students, learn about the school’s daily operations, meet with the school’s student council members, and more. Not only will the school have fresh eyes looking at issues the students face, this Principal Partner will be able to find effective ways to help afterward since they have experienced a day in the life of a Tomball ISD Principal.
This Principal Partner program will be very selective. Community members who would like to experience life as a school principal are asked to fill out this Principal Partners Application by Thursday, November 14, 2019. Based on the applicants' answers, the school district will match them to one of Tomball ISD’s elementary, intermediate, junior high, or high school as they see fit. Once applicants have been selected and served as a guest principal, they will all meet with Dr. Martha Salazar-Zamora, Tomball ISD Superintendent of Schools, at a luncheon to discuss their experiences and suggestions for the future of each school.
